S23 - Blues favorite player [WB5]

2023-01-16

Blues favorite player

Saint Louis Missouri: Who could be the favorite player in St-Louis, Nathan Horton, Eric Staal, Deryk Engelland or Jussi Jokinen, None of them our favorite player right now is young Mathieu Perreault. As we speak Mathieux is the fifth top scorer in the Blues organization even if he started on the 3rd line, last season he had 10 goals 10 assists in 81 games played and this was his first season in the VHL, this season so far he scored 7 goals 12 assists in 28 games played. Mathieu just got promoted on our 2nd line of course nobody can touch Eric Staal on the first line as he is producing at a point per game right now.

Since we moved Mathieu on the second line, Deryk Engelland and Jochen Hecht started to put points on the board, the team went from last position to the 9th position overall, we are in a playoff spot as we talked.

This line itself got 14 points in the last 4 games; this is when I changed my line. First game we won 9-3 against Whalers, second game we won 3-1 against first place Calgary, third game we won 3-1 against Vegas and then we won against Vancouver by a score of 8-3

The other lines too work great now. First line with Eric Staal, Jussi Jokinen and Nathan Horton have 13 points against whalers only, they got 26 points in the last 4 games.

The third line did not do much, Petri Kontolia, Bryan Boyle and Justin Williams had 4 points. The fourth line with Matt Stajan, Artem Chubarov and Chris Kunitz had 8 points, not bad for a fourth line.

I spread the depth on all 4 lines and it pays off so far so this means leave it like that.

Good luck to everyone for the rest of the season.
