S16 - Winner or Not [WB8]

2020-10-26

Winner or not

Lets look at the Alexei Zhamnonv trades, let see who is the winner and what really was the return on that trade

Kansas City Scouts sent veteran centerman Alexei Zhamnov to the Saint.Louis Blues in exchange for veteran forward Sergei Brylin whom never got going with the Saint Louis Blues. We were doing our lines with Alexei Zhamnov when we got a call from the Saskatoon Wolves to inquire about Zhamnov availibility, Blues wanted to get offense with Zhamnov but the Wolves offer was  to good to let it pass. Ink has yet to dry on whether this was a good deal for the Saint Louis Blues or not.
WINNER – Saint Louis Blues (Get a better rental then Brylin and this is good business)

Saskatoon Wolves sent Keith Primeau, prospect Chris Bourque, Saskatoon year 20 third pick and Saskatoon year 20 seven pick to the Saint Louis Blues in exchange for Alexei Zhamnov whom the Blues had just acquired from the Kansas City Scouts. For the difference between Zhamnov and Primeau we had to say yes to the Saskatoon offer, in Primeau we have a very reliable, defensively centerman that can win faceoffs.  Zhamnov did not unpack his luggages and took the plane to Saskatoon in a good deal for the Saint Louis Blues.
WINNER
Saint Louis Blues (Get anything for a rental is always good business)

So after looking at it closelly the Saint Louis Blues traded veteran ufa winger Sergei Brylin to get Keith Primeau, prospect Chris Bourque, Saskatoon year 20 third pick and Saskatoon year 20 seven pick. This is one of the best move at the deadline

Another good move was to sent Mike Morrison enormemous contrat to the Montreal Canadiens, 3,465,000$ for 3 years, in return we got ufa Johan Hedberg 5,676,000$ what is great about it is the Hedberg salary will come to an end at season end.

Good luck everyone
