Saint-Louis Mississouri - This was the Blues fourteen game of the season and we faced enemy the Hawks for the second time, we won the first game 4-2 but we were doing major change on the roster, Blues are now ready for the big show and this challenge was a big test for the Blue machine and Blues won the game 2-1. The Blues played a great game and the defense squad played a solide game but the team is still working on improving their chances to a playoff spot.

 

First Period

Blues took the lead 1-0 with a goal from Henrik Tallinder his fourth of the season assist by Valeri Bure and Shayne Corson at 3:00

Blues increased their lead 2-0 with a goal from Vlastamil Kroupa his second of the season assist by Andrew Cassels and Geoff Smith at 11:00 on a power play

Second Period

Hawks cut the Blues lead 2-1 with a goal from Eric Weinrich his third of the season assist by Craig Janney and Scott Young at 0:03

Tomas Vokoun was the best player of the game with .962 saving percentage.

The Blackhawks Chicago had twenty six shots on Vokoun and he stopped twenty five of them for a saving percentage of .962 he was great and won the game for his team. Blues showed up and had thirty shots on Theodore and he stopped twenty eight of them for a saving percentage of .933  it looks like Vokoun is back in shape as he is playing well lately and god Blues needs it, we will see him making some starts to see if he can play many good back to back games.
