s18 - New Guy in Town (®)

2021-06-27

The Milwaukee Admirals hire GM Gary Graves to yesterday with the goal of improving the teams fortunes. The team closed out the 07/08 season with a 4-3 OTL against the Blues. With that loss, the team ends the season with the 4th overall worst record and GM Graves and the scouting team will be hard at work to draft the best player availabe to move this team forward. The team has a few quality prospects and will look to add to that stable so we wait for the lottery draft to see where the Admirals will be officially selecting.

With that said, GM Graves will also be doing a top / down organizational excercise to see where the team goes in the offseason. Graves hinted at a soft rebuild but hasn't fully committed to it. Rumblings after the press conference had a guy like Henrik Sedin's name thrown around as a potential trade piece in the soft rebuild but that tidbit didn't come from Graves himself.

The team wishes all VHL teams heading into the playoffs the best of luck and the focus will now turn to scouting and watching some of the team's prospects play in the AHL playoffs. We will be cheering on our Toledo Walleyes!
